Volunteer thank you: Gillian Duncan

Posted in [Volunteers] By Dianna Henry

This issue we congratulate Gillian Duncan.

Gillian is the current president of Mountain Bike Australia and founder of the Gap Creek Trail Alliance as well as author of “Where to Mountain Bike in South East Qld”. She has spent over 20 years volunteering her time to a number of different sports. In the last four years she has focussed her efforts on mountain biking and has clocked up to 40+ hours a week, without pay.

Gillian has has helped raise the profile of her favourite sport as well as helped in a more physical way - every other weekend Gillian can be found participating in the working bees that maintain the MTB tracks in SEQ.
To help her wind down and relax for a teensy second Gillian receives a lovely pamper pack courtesy of Active Women which includes a bottle of wine, chocolates, bubble bath and a scented soy candle.
