It shows the transformation of a model from no makeup to final billboard. I think that this is so so important for every girl/woman to see so I've included it here.

Two of the top women in sport in 2009 were race horses...

Extract from a speech that Elizabeth Broderick, the Federal Sex Discrimination Commissioner, will give today at the 5th IWG World Conference on Women and Sport. (From SMH - Women in sport hit the grass ceiling)

"... But unfortunately, the achievements of sports women are often invisible. On the data available, the coverage of women's sport accounts for just 2 per cent of total sports broadcasting on television, 1.4 per cent on radio and 10.7 per cent of total sports reporting in newspapers.

The participation of women in sport at all levels is marked by division and discrimination that is reinforced by negative gender stereotypes. Strict gender segregation marks all levels of sport and elite, professional sport remains the unquestioned domain of men.

When the Associated Press named its top 10 female athletes of 2009, two were racehorses..."

Oh lordy. They couldn't find 10 humans???

Australian Sports urged to engage all cultures

The Minister for Sport Kate Ellis has launched a new online resource in February to help sporting groups engage more sportspeople from culturally diverse backgrounds. Minister Ellis joined the Australian Sports Commission and leading national sports to promote All Cultures, a program that aims to connect people from new migrant groups with their local sporting clubs.

‘As the composition of our community continues to evolve then so must Australian sport,’ Ms Ellis said.

‘New migrants are two-thirds less likely to participate in sport than other Australians and that’s a real shame. They are missing out and sport as a whole is missing out.’
